Servicepersons Launch Recovery Campaign in Flood-hit Areas

Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- Servicepersons of the Korean People's Army (KPA) have arrived in the flood-hit areas of Jagang Province to conduct a recovery campaign.
The heavy rain and flood destroyed roads and bridges causing difficulties and obstacles in their advance, but the servicepersons fulfilled their duty, making forced march to arrive there in time.
They gave medical assistance to flood victims and provided them with a lot of foodstuffs and daily necessities.
After arriving at the site, they immediately started reconstruction of roads and bridges amid vigorous on-the-spot political work.
The flood-hit areas of Jagang Province are now astir with the high spirit and enthusiasm of the service personnel. -0-
