Iron and Steel Production Increases in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK are bringing about a surge in production.
The smelters of the blast furnace shop have conducted mass movements, including a next-shift-helping campaign, and operated the oxygen heat blast furnace in a scientific and technological way, thus playing a big role in fulfilling the plan.
Workers and technicians of the thick plate workshop have steadily increased the production of rolled steel, while the oxygen separator workshop No. 2 has ensured the normal operation of equipment. -0-
