Qatari Media Figures to QNA: Amir of Kuwait's Visit Strengthens Strategic, Dynamic Partnership of Qatari-Kuwaiti Relations

Doha, February 19 (QNA) - Qatari media figures affirmed that the visit of HH Amir of the sisterly State of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the State of Qatar would enhance coordination, cooperation, and Qatari-Kuwaiti strategic partnership, which are built on solid foundations of brotherhood, love, and common aspirations, that characterizes relations between the two countries.
In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA), they underlined the depth of Qatari-Kuwaiti relations, historical brotherly ties, commonalities, cooperation and partnership in various fields, and their convergent visions on various regional and international issues.
The Editor-in-Chief of Al-Sharq newspaper Jaber Al Harami told QNA that the Qatari-Kuwaiti relations are historical, deep-rooted and cohesive at various levels, and are witnessing remarkable and continuous development in all fields.
He added that what strengthens these relations is the great convergence in the vision of the leaderships of the two countries on regional issues, and the good offices and positive roles of the two leaderships to promote security, stability, and development regionally and internationally, in addition to supporting the nation's issues and serving its interests at various levels.
Al Harami expressed his confidence that HH Amir of Kuwait's visit to Qatar, the first since assuming the reins of power, will constitute a significant milestone in the history of Qatari-Kuwaiti relations, and open up new horizons for these relations and strengthen them, building on what has been established over decades in various fields.
Qatar and Kuwait will see more coordination and fruitful bilateral cooperation and will also witness coordination and integration in roles at the regional and international levels, he said. There is a reliance on such mutual visits between the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to advance joint Gulf action and support the Council system, which has entered its fifth decade, he continued.
The Editor-in-Chief of Al-Sharq newspaper affirmed that strengthening the Gulf system, supporting its roles, and contributing to its greater activation is a matter of interest and keenness for the leaders of the GCC states, and within the aspirations of the Gulf peoples who adhere to this system.
He also pointed out that this visit comes at a time when the region is going through dangerous turning points, especially those related to the aggression of the occupying Israeli entity against the Palestinian people, indicating that it is clear to every observer that the Qatari-Kuwaiti vision is identical regarding supporting Palestinian rights and rejecting aggression.
In a related context, he stressed the importance of coordinating positions between the leadership of the two countries in regional and international forums regarding various issues related to the security and stability of the region, and distancing them from any new conflicts, adding that the vision of the two countries focuses on stability, security, and dialogue to resolve the various issues and crises in the region.
In his statement, Jaber Al Harami pointed to the positive and great roles of the sisterly State of Kuwait historically, and its contribution to the enlightenment and progress of the region and the GCC system specifically in various political, intellectual, cultural, artistic, sports, and other fields.
For his part, CEO of Qatar Press Centre (QPC) Sadiq Mohammed Al Amari said that the historical status that the State of Kuwait occupies in the hearts of Qataris is great, and it extends over a long history supported by social, economic, political, cultural, and other aspects of the strong relations between the two countries.
He also underlined the convergence of visions of the two countries towards many regional and international issues, especially with regard to the Palestinian cause, noting the great efforts made by the leaderships of the two countries, whether to deliver aid to Gaza or in holding political consultations to end this war and enable the Palestinians to establish their state and live in security and safety.
He emphasised the mutual commitment of the two countries to achieving peace and stability in the region through dialogue and supporting development paths, which are the basis of security and a starting point for confronting challenges in their various forms.
In turn, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Raya newspaper Abdullah Talib Al Marri affirmed that the visit of HH Amir of the sisterly State of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to his second country, Qatar, reflects the depth of the historical relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
He said that the Qatari-Kuwaiti relations are based on the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation, and have witnessed many bright stations throughout its ancient and modern history, where the ties of kinship between the two peoples have coexisted through thick and thin, and harmonized on an honorable path in the course of Gulf, Arab, and international relations.
He added that His Highness's visit comes as a continuation and translation of the State of Kuwait's keenness to strengthen and consolidate its bilateral relations to enhance the process of achievements, prosperity, and progress it is witnessing at various levels.
Al Marri affirmed that the events and transformations demonstrated the keenness of the leadership of the two countries to coordinate positions on regional and international issues, and the common desire to develop cooperation and support partnership in various fields to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of the two countries.
It is expected that the visit will address many issues, including the development of relations in various fields, support for the progress of the GCC, in addition to exchanging views on the latest regional and international events and efforts made in this regard, especially developments in Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, he added.
In addition, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Arab Faleh Hussein Al Hajri said that whoever traces the history of relations between the two brotherly countries realizes their fraternal and compassionate dimensions, kinship ties that bind their people, convergence of political, development and security visions, international relations, and joint coordination at the level of GCC, or in the Arab, Islamic and international framework.
In a similar statement to QNA, Al Hajri pointed out that these relations have extended historical roots between the two countries and peoples, and the common affiliation, identity, and history that bind them.
Regarding the importance of the visit of HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait, he explained that this importance is evident in the keenness of the leadership of the two countries to strengthen the strategic political, security and economic partnership, and to open mutual and participatory files that serve common interests, in addition to the importance it acquires in supporting the process of the GCC and strengthening Gulf cohesion.
He also pointed out that the visit of HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait is important to serve pressing issues, given the convergence of the two countries views on them, indicating that His Highnesss visit is an opportunity to enhance coordination and consultation between the two countries regarding various issues in a way that enhances security and peace at the regional and international levels.
