FM: I Discussed With Dutch FM The Possibility Of Developing Relations Between The Two Countries

Baghdad /NINA/ -Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein confirmed that he discussed with his Dutch counterpart Hanke Bruins Slot the possibility of developing relations between the two countries.

 He said in a joint press conference with the Dutch Minister: We emphasized the necessity of stopping the war on Gaza, adding that the Prime Minister’s visit to the Netherlands was also discussed.

 The Foreign Minister stressed that developing economic relations in various fields with the Netherlands is important to us.

 He pointed out: Dutch companies can play an important role in developing the Iraqi economy.

 He expressed his thanks to the Dutch government for its position rejecting the recent attacks on Iraqi territory.

For her part, Dutch Foreign Minister affirmed support for Iraq's essential role in the region and condemned the attacks on its territory.

 She said that there are about 60,000 Iraqis living in the Netherlands and they are working to bring views closer between the two countries.

 She explained that "we are awaiting the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to the Netherlands."

 The Minister indicated that she discussed with the Foreign Minister the events in Gaza and "we reject the attacks that occur against civilians."/ End
