KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 (Bernama) -- Japan External Trade Organisation (Jetro) and seafood supplier, Sendo Ichi Seafood have collaborated in organising the first-ever Japanese Seafood Fest 2024, showcasing the finest treasures from Japan's seas.
Held from Jan 26 to 28 at Lalaport Mall, Bukit Bintang City Centre, Kuala Lumpur, the event is aimed at strengthening cultural and business ties between Japan and Malaysia, Jetro said in a statement on Friday.
At the official media launch, Jetro Kuala Lumpur managing director, Koichi Takano said food exports from Japan to Malaysia have more than tripled in value over the past five years.

The festival kicked off with a grand launch, featuring the carving of a 60-kg tuna by renowned chef Otsuka Kenji of Sushi Yoshi restaurant.
The Japanese Seafood Fest aims to connect the artistry of Japanese gastronomy with culinary enthusiasts by collaborating with the best Japanese restaurants and partners such as Sushi Yoshi, HUT Sake Bar, Ten itsu and Mochiya.
