Iraq participates in a meeting regarding its regional role in the Middle East
Baghdad / NINA / -The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Planning Affairs, Ambassador Hisham Al-Alawi, participated in the roundtable meeting under the title of Iraq’s regional role in the Middle East region, which was organized by the Center for Security Policy, in the presence of the head of the Center, Ambassador Thomas Creminger, and a number of experts specialized in the Middle East region.
The ministry stated in a statement, “During the meeting, Al-Alawi reviewed Iraq’s strategic vision in achieving balance in its regional and international relations, and enhancing stability in the region, with a focus on continuing efforts to expand regional economic cooperation.”
Al-Alawi stressed "the importance of Iraq's role as an effective and independent mediator in resolving conflicts and promoting understanding between neighboring countries, and the main regional issues and their impact on security and stability," stressing Iraq's commitment to the principles of dialogue and cooperation./End
