Qatar Chamber Hosts Investment and Finance Working Professionals Event on OUC's MSc Investment and Finance Program

Doha, December 25 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber hosted Monday an event for Investment and Finance working professionals. The event was initiated by Oryx Universal College (OUC) in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University to launch the "Investment Catalyst" scholarship award 2024 for the MSc Investment and Finance program by providing scholarships equivalent to 30 percent off the tuition fees for the program.
The event opening was delivered by Qatar Chamber board member, Eng. Ali bin Abdul Latif Al Misnad, joined by VP of Academic Affairs/Chief Academic Officer Professor Mohammad Najdawi, and the dean of Leadership and Business College, Dr Moheeb AbouAlqumboz, in addition to distinguished attendees.
Al Misnad said that the support to this initiative comes from the commitment of the Chamber towards the education sector and its improvement. The course will start on Jan. 14, 2024 at OUC Campus in Qatar, where eligible candidates who are working in the finance, banking, insurance, real estates, and first class business consultancy sectors will have the opportunity to get the 30 percent scholarship.
Al Misnad emphasized his trust about the importance of the program in developing the investment and businesses sectors in the state of Qatar. He also highlighted that this program, delivered by distinguished faculty, will enrich the skills of employees who are working in the sector.
On the other hand, Professor Mohammad Khalil Najdawi mentioned that Oryx Universal College in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University, Qatar, is offering diversified bachelors and masters British degrees awarded by Liverpool John Moores University, UK.
He pointed that the college offers unique masters programs in project management, leadership and management practice, investment and finance, and cyber security. In addition, the college offers distinguished bachelor programs in computer science, software engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, quantity surveying, and human resources management.
Najdawi highlighted that all the programs and degrees offered are recognized and approved by the British government and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the state of Qatar. All the programs are delivered through a strict quality assurance system and are delivered by diversified academic members who all meet strict academic conditions.
He emphasized that the investment and finance program is aiming to provide students with the required investment and finance skills that will contribute in achieving Qatar National Vision 2030.
Dr. Moheeb AbouAlQumboz added that the program will enrich the ability to overcome the challenges of the investment sector in Qatar, especially during the implementation of the new economic plans in the country.
He emphasized this program will allow the students to improve their capabilities in making sustainable financial decision for small and large companies. Furthermore, the program will provide the ability to combine the local and global environments to solve the current financial challenges through experienced leaders who are ready to deal with the available and future challenges.
