The delegation included CEO of the LOC, Jassim Abdul Aziz Al Jassim, LOC's Marketing and Communications Executive Director Hassan Rabia Al Kuwari, and LOC's Local and Regional Media Director Sheikh Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani. The visit included talks, TV interviews, and meetings with media outlets and the most prominent Saudi social media influencers, to introduce the latest developments and plans related to media professionals and permits, and the information on ticket sales. The visit came as part of the LOC's ongoing efforts to give a comprehensive picture of Qatar’s preparations to achieve an exceptional hosting, nearly a year after the dazzling FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 hosting leveraging the country's modern infrastructure, integrated transportation network, top-notch venues and sports facilities. Recently, the LOC announced the launch of a celebratory tour in Qatar and the region from Dec., 21-31, 2023. The tour will witness the establishment of activity zones for the tournament in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, to give fans the opportunity to learn more about the tournament, and take souvenir photos with the trophy and the mascots. In Qatar, the activities will take place in City Center Doha and Mall of Qatar. Fans in Saudi Arabia can attend the activities at Riyadh City Boulevard and Dhahran Mall, and in the UAE at Global Village in Dubai and Al Reem Mall in Abu Dhabi. This is the third time for Qatar to stage the continent's most prestigious event following the 1988 and 2011 editions. This edition will be played on nine World Cup venues (QNA)
