National Day/ Algerian Ambassador: Relations Between Algeria, Qatar are Historic, Characterized by Trust, Mutual Solidarity
Doha, December 19 (QNA) - HE Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Salah Attia, said that the bilateral relations between Algeria and the State of Qatar are distinguished historical relations characterized by affection, trust, and mutual solidarity, this is evident through the strong fraternal relations between HE President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his brother, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
His Excellency expressed to Qatar News Agency (QNA) his sincere and warm congratulations to the State of Qatar, its wise leader HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the Qatari people on the occasion of the country's National Day which stands as a joyful day that is dear to all. He added that they are honored to participate alongside their brothers in the State of Qatar and commemorate the country's glory, stability and progress.
HE the Algerian Ambassador pointed out that relations between Algeria and Qatar are witnessing steady growth, whether through bilateral visits at the highest levels or through cooperation and consultation in various ministerial sectors in both countries, pointing out that the meeting of the Qatari-Algerian Joint Committee, scheduled to be held in Algeria next year, will be an important and major culmination that reflects the excellence of bilateral relations between the two sides in various fields.
His Excellency said that the State of Qatar has become, as everyone can testify, a center for rapprochement and communication between people in all fields. There is no doubt that its remarkable success in organizing a unique version of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has painted a bright picture among the people of the world due to the modern achievements it provided and the highly advanced stadiums and facilities.
HE the Algerian Ambassador stated that the State of Qatar has played a recognized role regionally and internationally at all levels, which has earned it great appreciation and gratitude, noting its successful mediation in the Afghan file and the evacuation of thousands of stranded people outside Afghanistan, and its successful mediation regarding the Palestinian issue and its continuing efforts to stop the barbaric aggression against the defenseless Palestinian people besieged in the Gaza Strip, after it succeeded in reaching a temporary pause, according to which humanitarian and relief aid was provided to the besieged Palestinian brothers who were steadfast in defending their land.
In this context, His Excellency praised the firm position of the State of Qatar, similar to the position of the Republic of Algeria, on the necessity of establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.
At the conclusion of his statement to QNA, HE Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Salah Attia congratulated the State of Qatar, HH the Amir, the government and the people on the occasion of the National Day and expressed his wishes for the State of Qatar for further development and prosperity.
