2023 MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup Wraps Up

Doha, December 16 (QNA) - The 2023 Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Karting Championship Nations Cup, held on the Lusail International Circuit and organized by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), wrapped up this evening.
Representing 15 countries, the championship saw 165 male and female contestants compete for the title over the tournament's three days.
Team Qatar finished 3rd in overall standings with 595 points, whereas Team UAE secured 2nd place with 632 points, while Team Morocco won the championship's title with 718 points. Moreover, Teams Lebanon and Oman came in 4th (575 points) and 5th (537 points) places respectively.
The organizing committee presented a special award in honor of the late Omani sports commentator Habib Al Zawawi, to the 9-year-old Qatari competitor Saif Mohammed Al Obaidli, the championship's youngest competitor, for his great effort during the race, having been so close to making it to the top ranks, had it not been for the lack of experience.
