Qatar, Uzbekistan Discuss Establishing Joint Business Council

Doha, December 14 (QNA) - The State of Qatar and the Republic of Uzbekistan discussed ways of cooperation and coordination to establish a joint Qatari-Uzbekistan business council.
This came during the meeting of HE Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov with Qatar Chamber Board Member Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli.
The meeting focused on reviewing economic and commercial cooperation and exploring ways to enhance trade exchange between both countries. Additionally, it delved into discussions about the investment climate on both sides and the opportunities available for investment.
HE the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan said that his country is rife with plenty of opportunities that may attract Qatari businessmen. He emphasized Uzbekistan's interest in attracting Qatari investments across various sectors.
His Excellency reviewed the investment climate in his country, highlighting the favorable laws and incentives for investments.
His Excellency pointed to Uzbekistan's distinguished location, describing it as a gateway to Asian and European markets.
In his remarks, Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli praised the close relations between both countries. He emphasized the keen interest of Qatari businessmen in understanding the investment climate, incentives and opportunities available in Uzbekistan, particularly in
sectors such as real estate, hospitality, IT, tourism, infrastructure, food security, and others.
He noted that Qatar Chamber encourages Qatari businessmen to invest in Uzbekistan. He stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the private sectors of both countries and establishing joint ventures to boost trade which is still below aspirations. (QNA)
