Fares Ibrahim Wins Two Gold, a Bronze Medals in Qatar Cup IWF Grand Prix II

Doha, December 12 (QNA) - Qatari weightlifter Fares Ibrahim shined on the ninth day of the Qatar Cup Championship and the second Grand Prix of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Fares Ibrahim won two gold medals and a bronze in the 102 kg weight class, which witnessed the participation of 29 weightlifters. He won the gold medal in weightlifting with a weight of 224 kg, and the gold medal in overall weight with a total weight of 400 kg, while he won the bronze medal in the snatch with a weight of 176 kg.
First Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, President of Qatar Fencing and Weightlifting and Asian Weightlifting Federations, Mohammed Yousef Al Mana, praised the great achievement of Fares Ibrahim with a weight of 102 kg, in the Qatar Cup IWF Grand Prix II.
The President of the Weightlifting Federation dedicated this achievement to Qatari sports, represented by the Olympic Committee, which has been the main supporter of the Federation during the recent period, expressing his hope that the Federation's achievements will continue during the upcoming events, especially in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
