Sheikh Joaan Honors Graduates of Advanced Diploma in Sports Institution Management

Doha, December 12 (QNA) - HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Olympic Academy Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani honored today the graduates of the Advanced Diploma in Sports Institution and Olympic Management for the 2022 and 2023 cohorts.
Held in the Lusail Hall of the QOC headquarters, HE First Vice-President of QOC Mohamed bin Yousef Al Mana, HE QOC Secretary-General, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Olympic Academy Jassim bin Rashid Al Boenain, along with a lineup of QOC officials attended the graduation ceremony.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani launched the remake of the Qatar Olympic Academy website.
Executive Director of the Qatar Olympic Academy Khaleel Aljabir said that the academy is proud to graduate the 13th batch of students studying the Advanced Diploma in Sports Institution and Olympic Management.
In his speech, Aljabir said that the Qatar Olympic Academy renews its pledge annually to exert more diligence in achieving the goals for which it was established, as well as to raise sports' popularity and knowledge of Olympic sciences by offering various programs, courses, and lecturers, in addition to fostering cooperation agreements with international institutions.
The Executive Director of the Qatar Olympic Academy used the occasion to thank the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Solidarity initiative, and QOC, for their unlimited support, especially to this particular program.
For his part, graduate Abdullah Al Karbi delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates expressing pride in graduating from the academy, praising the academy for its high quality education and student experience, as well as its adopted strategy that are in accordance with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Advanced Diploma in Sports Institution and Olympic Management program is one of the most important annual programs of the Qatar Olympic Academy. It was first launched in 2008 when the Qatar Olympic Committee, represented by the Qatar Olympic Academy, launched it to be among the first twenty Olympic committees in the world and the first Gulf and Arab Olympic committee to implement this program, which has exceeded 500 graduates since its inception, from inside and outside Qatar.
