Under the headline "Chance for Peace", Al-Watan believed that Doha Forum would indeed offer a greater chance for peace in light of the conversations which took place on the sidelines of the event among people who have real power and real influence, open up greater opportunities for peace.
Al-Watan considered Doha Forum one of the most important political platforms in the world, bringing together the most important figures and actors to discuss the most prominent challenges facing the world, as well as promoting dialogue, exchanging ideas, making policies, and presenting applicable recommendations.
The paper expressed its hope that the discussions that took place among the participants would contribute to achieving better understanding, especially of the region's issues, and highlighting problem-solving in systematic, proactive ways.
In conclusion, Al-Watan referred to HE Qatar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani's assertion that the worsening situation in Gaza greatly affects international peace and security and the existing world order.
In its editorial entitled "Qatar... Leadership in Humanitarian Efforts", Al-Sharq highlighted that the launch of the Global Humanitarian Overview 2024 on the sidelines of Doha Forum 2023 in the presence of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, and HE the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths.
The launch of the Global Humanitarian Overview 2024 further affirms Qatar's leadership in humanitarian efforts and its endeavor to bridging diplomacy with humanitarian action, as it aims at raising global awareness of urgent humanitarian needs and promoting broad initiatives on how to address them effectively, in light of the unprecedented challenges facing humanitarian work with about 300 million people around the world in need of urgent humanitarian aid due to conflicts and wars, in addition to the increasing global crises and disasters resulting from climate change, Al-Sharq said.
The State of Qatar stands out as a key player in providing humanitarian and development aid and extending a helping hand to afflicted peoples without exception and without discrimination, based on its humanitarian and moral role and commitment to its responsibility as an active partner in the international community. Qatar has placed its name on the list of the most prominent countries on the humanitarian work map, through its broad humanitarian strategic partnerships with specialized and relevant United Nations organizations and agencies, and its distinguished contributions to global efforts to address the international challenges facing humanity, Al-Sharq added.
Qatar's leadership in humanitarian efforts was achieved thanks to its rapid response to emergency and urgent circumstances by sending aid to alleviate the suffering of those affected by crises of all kinds around the world, as well as its appreciated efforts and mediations to achieve peace and stability, the latest of which was reaching the humanitarian pause that allowed the entry of many humanitarian convoys and relief aid into Gaza Strip, Al-Sharq said.

Under the headline "Qatar is Pioneer in Humanitarian Action", Al-Raya said in its editorial that the State of Qatar plays significant humanitarian roles globally, strengthening its international standing as a diplomatic and humanitarian force capable of promoting international security, peace, and development, especially in marginalized regions suffering from conflicts. In the current Israeli aggression, Qatar has emerged as a driving force towards finding a humanitarian solution that ensures the sustainability of the humanitarian pause, facilitating the entry of aid, and securing the release of hostages.
The newspaper referred to the United Nations' acknowledgment of Qatar's humanitarian role and its efforts to achieve peace and stability. During his participation in the Doha Forum 2023, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths praised Qatar's dedicated efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region and the world .

Qatar will never abandon its humanitarian efforts and mediation, especially in these tragic circumstances.
In conclusion, Al-Raya said that Qatar believes in effective partnerships and international alliances for the sake of humanity. As a result, it has gained this prestigious position, becoming the capital of international multilateral action and the pioneer of international humanitarian action as well as a key destination for international delegations seeking to end crises, as it has succeeded multiple times in bringing a happy ending to international conflicts and crises. Qatar continues to believe in the possibility of mobilizing international efforts for a permanent and comprehensive solution in the Palestinian territories, leading to the establishment of the Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital within the borders of 1967, ensuring security and stability not only for the region but for the entire world.
Commenting on another topic, English-language newspaper The Peninsula said that Oil and gas producers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) must commit to integrating policies for the long-term impacts of the global energy transition on their fiscal systems. Governments must also adapt public investment plans that ensure sustainable long-term economic transformation drives growth and development.
In its editorial titled "Fair, Sustainable Energy Transition", the paper said that the global energy transition to mitigate climate change initially entailed reducing and phasing out fossil fuel consumption and inefficient subsidies. That position reflected that fossil fuels have been the most significant contributor to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and, thus, have been driving climate change.
The paper added that yesterday, during the 12th Arab Energy Conference, organized by the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi stressed the urgent need to formulate a realistic and scientifically based vision for a fair, balanced, and sustainable energy transition. He said the changes require urgency in addressing the energy security challenge and strengthening joint action and complementary efforts to support the economic growth of Arab countries.
The Peninsula underlined that the State of Qatar stresses the importance of enhancing cooperation between Arab countries to secure a promising future for the region, adding that HE the minister said more substantial investments in energy efficiency and low-carbon technologies in conjunction with adopting renewable energy sources should be the priority for the region.
