The President Receives The Saudi Ambassador

Baghdad / NINA / -The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the importance of uniting international efforts to support the Palestinian cause and end the aggression against Gaza and its residents.

 At Baghdad Palace, the president received the Saudi Ambassador to Iraq, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari.

 During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two countries and ways to develop them, and expand areas of joint cooperation between Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two brotherly peoples.

 The President of the Republic also stressed the importance of uniting international efforts to support the Palestinian cause and end the aggression against Gaza and its residents, noting the necessity of ensuring the arrival of aid to the Palestinian people and ensuring the protection of the civilians.

 He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its efforts in holding the joint Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, praising the decisions and positions issued by the summit to support the Palestinian people.

 In turn, the Saudi ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic for his interest in strengthening and developing bilateral relations, stressing his country’s keenness on continuing bilateral cooperation in the service of the security, stability and well-being of the two countries and the region./End
