Iran, Turkey to broaden judicial cooperation

Iran’s Ambassador to Ankara Bahman Hossein Pour conferred on Monday with Turkish Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin on expansion of judicial cooperation between the two countries.

At the meeting, the Turkish minister called for promotion of economic cooperation through expansion of judiciary cooperation.

He said that as the justice minister of Turkey he is ready to prepare grounds and facilities broadening of ties and cooperation between the two countries.

There is good judicial and security cooperation between Iran and Turkey, said the Iranian ambassador and called for exchange of judicial delegations, signing of MoU on extradition of criminals as well as judicial and commercial cooperation between the two countries.

At the meeting, the Iranian ambassador also extended an invitation to the Turkish justice minister to visit Iran.

The Turkish minister welcomed the invitation and said he will pay a visit to Tehran to help promote judicial cooperation between the two countries at an appropriate opportunity.
