Swedish ambassador to Azerbaijan visits International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation

Baku, July 17, AZERTAC President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva has met with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic Christian Kamill on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in the country. During the meeting, President of the Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva spoke about the importance of bringing world cultures closer to each other, and expressed satisfaction about Sweden being among the countries with which the organization cooperates in this direction. She spoke about the existing ties between the Foundation and the Embassy and emphasized the importance of further development of relations. Gunay Afandiyeva highly appreciated the ambassador's efforts during his tenure and wished him success in his future activities. Ambassador Christian Kamill highlighted the role of mutual partnership with the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation during his diplomatic mission. Noting the interest of Sweden in the cultural heritage of other peoples, the ambassador emphasized that it always participates with great enthusiasm in the events organized by the Foundation. He stated that the organization made special contributions to the promotion of the rich culture and art of the Turkic World. Prospects for expanding cooperation between Sweden and the cultures of the member and observer states of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation were discussed at the meeting.
