Iranian wins Malaysia’s ITEX 2009 special award

An Iranian inventor professor Shapour Zarei won the special prize of Presidential Award in ITEX 2009 held in Malaysia’s capital city of Kuala Lumpur on May 15-17.

The 20th International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) held in Malaysia was participated by 1,000 inventors from 15 different countries.

The Iranian invention team, clinching 18 gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze medals, ranked second in the international event after Malaysia.

Almost half of the 100-member Iranian team were between the age of 12 and 23.
