83.2 thousand children enroll in first grade across the country

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The new academic year of 2020-2021 starts today. On the occasion of the day, Minister of Education and Science L.Tsedevsuren extended academic year greetings to children, students, teachers, scholars and all staff of educational institutions. In the greetings, the Minister noted that over one million pupils and students started their class in forms of classroom and online learning on the national level. Furthermore, 83.2 thousand children are enrolling in first grade across the country. The Ministry has set a goal to provide conditions for students to study, develop and make academic success and achievement, to support teachers to constantly develop and to closely collaborate with parents in the 2020-2021 school year. To upgrade the national education quality system at all levels of educational institutions, to expand international educational program introduction at stages and to prepare well nurtured and skillful Mongolian are the main priorities of education sector outlined to be fulfilled in the Government Action Program for 2020-2024. "Around the world people are rapidly adopting information and communication technology into their daily lives, it is radically changing the traditional ways, forms and styles of learning and working of the people in the XXI century, changing the stereotypes, attitudes and methods of classroom education only. Therefore, the Ministry will strive for advancing digital technology introduction in educational activities, training and research and creating legal environment, which provides possibilities to implement it nonstop" highlighted the Minister.
