Construction of Capital City Maternal and Child Health Center to be completed by June 15

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 8, officials led by Minister of Health D.Sarangerel and Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Amarsaikhan visited the 300-bed Capital City Maternal and Child Health Center under construction in Yarmag. CEO of the project contractor, Tomo Building LLC M.Otgonbayar informed the officials that the construction of 34,200 sq.m health center comprising of seven blocks is currently 98 percent complete and that the company is working to open two blocks first. Health Minister D.Sarangerel highlighted that the new health center becomes the largest healthcare institution to open in the last 30 years with 880 rooms and vast floor space that allows to equip with 1,500 beds. Governor S.Amarsaikhan said the health center equipped with every necessary equipment will be ready to open by June 15 and that the outdoor landscaping works will be undertaken with funding from the Ulaanbaatar city. The new Capital City Maternal and Child Health Center is expected to significantly lighten the load for maternity hospitals.
