National Action Charter Bahrain's roadmap to future

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): Board of Trustees Deputy Chairman and Executive Director of Isa Cultural Centre Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Board of Trustees Chairman of King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, extended sincerest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier as well as the Bahraini people on the 18th anniversary of the National Action Charter. Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said in a statement marking the occasion that the National Action Charter stems from a belief in comprehensive reform according to a secure, gradual and consensual approach between the Bahraini people. He added the charter reflects a royal will, which is unparalleled in the region, to engage the people in deciding the future of the country. He said Bahrain has to celebrate the occasion given the goals and content of the document which was mapped out by HM the King and approved by an overwhelming majority of the Bahraini people as it aims to boost democracy, human rights, freedom of expression, justice, equality, openness, tolerance, pluralism and coexistence. Dr. Shaikh Khalid said the massive turnout to vote on the charter underscored political, cultural and intellectual awareness of the Bahraini people and their ability to envision the future of the country through the content of the charter which translates the farsighted vision of HM the King.
