HM King congratulated by Urban Planning and Development Authority

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): The Urban Planning and Development Authority, represented by its Chief Executive, Shaikh Nayef bin Khalid Al Khalifa, has extended sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, as well as to the Bahrain people on the 18th anniversary of the endorsement of the National Action Charter (NAC) which was launched by HM the King. Shaikh Nayef bin Khalid said that the national occasion provides an opportunity to recall the landmark achievements attained by the kingdom at all levels thanks to the Reform Project which was among the fruits of the National Action Charter. He stressed that the NAC was a milestone that changed the kingdom’s civilisational image thanks to HM King Hamad’s wisdom and forward-looking vision, noting that thanks to NAC, Bahrain has become a modern, civil and developed state. He pointed out that February 14 is a memorable day in the history of the nation, and motivates everyone to spare no effort in order to carry on the national march to achieve more progress and prosperity, within an atmosphere of national cohesion and unity, and based on the values of unity, peace and tolerance which were strengthened by the NAC thanks to HM the King’s tremendous efforts. The Urban Planning and Development Authority’s CEO added that the urban planning sector in the kingdom has made major strides thanks to HM the King’s efforts aimed at consolidating the bases of comprehensive development in the political, economic and social fields, citing the National Strategic Masterplan which was approved by HM the King, and constituted a roadmap to enhance sustainable urban planning development according to the highest international standards.
