NIHR hails HM King's comprehensive reforms

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the National Action Charter’s 18th anniversary. The National Institution hailed HM the King’s comprehensive reforms in all fields and advanced initiatives in the field of human rights since Bahrain joined the universal human rights conventions and cooperation with UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and international agencies as well as boosting unity and harmony among the various sects and religions that resulted in further stability and peaceful co-existence. The National Institution on this national occasion called on all the establishments and the citizens to continue the Kingdom’s reforms that consolidated the protection of human rights, national unity to build the advanced democratic process in all fields and the provision of decent living for all citizens. The NIHR reiterated its continuous efforts to ensure the protection and respect of human rights in accordance with international conventions and covenants.
