Iran, Russian Perm province to expand trade cooperation

Moscow, March 18, IRNA

Iran?s General Consul in Kazan in a meeting with governor of Perm
province of Russia discussed cooperation in the fields of economy,
commerce, culture and technology on Tuesday.

Reza Baghban Kondori in a meeting with Perm governor Oleg Chirkonov
proposed establishment of a working group to prepare appropriate
ground for commercial and economic exchanges.
Deputy prime minister, trade minister and deputy minister of Industry
of Perm attended the meeting, too.
Commercial exchanges between Iran and Perm have reached to more than
30 million dollars in recent years.
Kondori also proposed that Iran?s Markazi province establish ties with
Perm province which was welcomed by the Russian authorities.
Considering high scientific and technological capacities of Perm in
the fields of production and oil refining, the governor expressed
readiness for cooperating with Iranian experts and providing technical
assistance for construction of oil refineries in several Iranian
cities by Iranian private sector.
