Iran to reconsider policies on dispatching Hajj pilgrims if Saudi officials keep mistreating

Kerman, Mar 3, IRNA ? Representative of Supreme Leader at Hajj and
Pilgrimage Affairs said here Monday if Saudi concerned officials would
not revise the way they treat pilgrims, Iran would reconsider policies
on dispatching pilgrims.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Staffers of
Kerman Province, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadi Reyshahri added in
an interview with IRNA reporter in Kerman, ?During the Hajj pilgrimage
of last year, prior to this year?s Umrah pilgrimage trips, following
observing the inappropriate treatment of Saudi officials with a number
of Iranian clergies and pilgrims I sent a detailed protest letter to
the head of Saudi Hajj Council, Emir Nayef.?
He added, ?In that letter I have talked about the problems, the
mistreatments, and bothering of the pilgrims in details based on
authentic documents.?
Hojjatoleslam Reyshahri said, ?The head of he Saudi Hajj Council has
been asked to put an and to the moves made by those who call
themselves commanders of good deeds and discouragers of evil moves,
that has led to serious inconvenience of Hajj pilgrims.?
He expressed hope that the letter would lead to altering the behavior
of the Saudi officials, adding, ?Yet, if such moves would continue, as
some sources of jurisprudence have hinted, we might reconsider our
policies for dispatching Iranian pilgrims, since the continuation of
these conditions is intolerable.?
