Dubai Municipality joins World Autism Day celebrations

DUBAI, 3rd April, 2018 (WAM) -- As part of the activities of the Ministry of Community Development to celebrate the World Autism Day under the theme "Let's Unite for Autism," Dubai Municipality participated in the "Light it Up Blue" campaign on 2nd April by lighting up its main building in blue. "Currently the Municipality is implementing a community initiative in support of the Dubai Autism Centre. This initiative aims at preparing the site surrounding the Dubai Autism Centre in Al Garhoud area by carrying out the necessary ground leveling work, interlocking, pavement and related works in an area of 1,730 square meters," said Jabir Ahmed Al Ali, Director of General Maintenance Department. He added that the Municipality has undertaken this initiative to complement its role in the community in the service of this segment, which requires continuous help and moral support from all members of the community, and the Municipality has taken up this work by engaging a company specialized in the work of paving, which is currently underway. Al Ali said Dubai Municipality is keen to implement its vision of "building a happy and sustainable city" and its pioneering role in serving all segments of the society, and believes in the importance of communication and cooperation with all governmental and community bodies and institutions.
