Local TV to treat film fans with live Oscar broadcast

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese audiences can witness every moment of the 81 st Oscar
awards ceremony when the event is broadcast live on the Let's Viet-VTC9 channel on
Feb. 22 and 23.

The TV channel will be the only one in Vietnam to broadcast the event and has
the broadcast copyright, according to the general director of the Latsata
Multi-media JSC, Tran Minh Tien.

To support the world's biggest movie event of the year, the channel has produced
and aired various programmes, including Dong Hanh Cung Oscar (To Be with Oscar).
Hosted by Vietnamese movie star Hong Anh and famous male model Binh Minh, the
programme gave audiences all information related to the awards, and also showed
the movies which are nominated for Best Picture.

The 81 st Annual Academy Awards will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Los
Angeles at 5.30pm local time on Feb. 22 or 8.30am on Feb. 23 in Vietnam
