Tehran, Riyadh discuss Gaza crisis

Tehran, Dec 31, IRNA - Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and Chairman of Saudi Consultative Council, Salih bin Abdullah bin Hamed, Tuesday evening reviewed the latest developments in Gaza.

In a telephone conversation, Larijani expressed Iran's deep regret
over the ongoing human crisis and massacre of innocent people, women
and children in Gaza.

Condemning the inhuman approach of the Tel Aviv regime such as attack
on schools, mosques, hospitals and residential areas, Larijani
stressed that all international rules are being violated by the
Zionists.

Underlining the need for taking urgent measures by the Muslim states,
he added that the Zionists should feel that all Islamic states are
supporters of the oppressed nation of Palestine.

The Saudi speaker, for his part, said support for the defenseless
Palestinian nation is the responsibility of all Islamic states.

Welcoming the idea of holding urgent session of executive committee of
the Islamic Interparliamentary Union on Gaza, he said that Riyadh is
ready to attend the meeting.

The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 400 with at least 1,700 wounded.

The horrific brutality of Israel against civilians have triggered
international outrage and shocked the world public opinion.
