JLSI unveils 2015-2016 plan

Manama, July 20 (BNA): The plan of the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute (JLSI) for the judicial year 2015-2016 has been unveiled. Aiming to promote awareness on all legal issues and legislative amendments and their impacts on the citizens’ daily life, the plan will be implemented in collaboration with the Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission and Ministry of Education, and presented by lawyers currently trained by JLSI, JLSI Director Dr. Khalid Sari Siyam said. About 120 lawyers will pay visits to schools to raise the students’ awareness about the Constitution and other legal issues, he added, noting that during the age of the Internet, smart phones and social networks, students and youth make many things without being aware that they are punishable by the law. He said that JLSI’s new-look website and platforms in malls will support the implementation of the plan. JLSI director pointed out that the plan had been endorsed during the meeting of JLSI Board of Trustees.
