International Support Of Financial Aid To Iraq Does Not Live Up To The Ambition Of The Minimum Actual Need

BAGHDAD / NINA / Economic Information Center said the support of the international financial assistance does not rise to minimum requirements for Iraq in its financial crisis, especially with regard to the displaced file. Dirgam Mohammed Ali, chairman of the Center told NINA despite the presence of Iraq to the most prominent international forums, most recently G7 meeting, which is a senior political gain calculated to Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, but the support the countries to Iraq is still very tiny and not commensurate with the levels of the minimum needed, even at the level of promises. " He added, "The major powers did not show seriousness to provide urgent financial assistance to the displaced, despite the difficult circumstances they are experiencing due to high temperatures and lack of the Iraqi government's ability alone in the providing basic needs to them and that is the duty of the international community to stand with Iraq in its war on terror." He noted that "Iraq needs ten billion dollars at least to secure the urgent displaced needs because the number is more than 3 million displaced people and some of them are concentrated in desert nature areas, saying that" the international community is at stake in the seriousness of its support for Iraq, which is going through a major crisis now and the budget cannot meet the challenges. " Iraq has suffered a major financial crisis during the current year and a deficit in its budget of 25 trillion dinars due to lower world oil prices. / End
