HRH Premier: Bahrain will remain fortified against terrorism

Manama, June 3 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at his Palace in Riffa today senior state officials, and reviewed with them a number of local and international issues. HRH Premier affirmed that the politicization of some areas that had been until recently far from polarisation will affect the role of politics as a means to enhance rapprochement among cultures, civilisations and peoples within a framework of fair competition. HRH the Prime Minister urged to make the achievement of public interests of the kingdom the ultimate goal of everybody, at the local, regional and global levels, stressing the need to put aside narrow private interests which, he said, negatively affect efforts to attain achievements that serve all fairly. HRH Premier discussed with the audience the cohesion, solidarity, co-existence and love prevailing in the tightly-knit one family Bahraini society. He called on all, including families, clerics and intellectuals, to take the initiative and raise awareness on the gravity of some practices which are alien to the Bahraini society, such as violence and terrorism. Bahrain has never known strange practices such as violence and terrorism, and it has always been referred to as an oasis of security and safety, he explained. "Let those who call for practices that are unknown for the citizens of Bahrain be confident that the Bahraini Society, which is committed to co-existence by its very nature, will remain fortified against terrorism, violence and discord," he also said.
