Interior Ministry to open five green buildings

Manama, Apr.22 (BNA): The Interior Ministry is planning to open five environment-friendly buildings late next month (May2015). Undersecretary Major-General Khalid Salim Al-Absi announced the move on the sidelines of the "Earth Day" function. The Interior Ministry organized the function during which it outlined its main achievements, stressed particularly its strategy to reduce paper work and go hi-tech. In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Major-General Khalid Salim Al-Absi stressed the ministry’s resolve to carry out the core elements featuring in the Government Action Plan (2015-2018) and translate the Bahrain 2030 Economic Vision. Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources Colonel Adel Abdulla Ameen said that the Interior Ministry succeeded in launching up to thirty-two cyber services, citing leave applications, allowances and salary statements. "The ministry may save an estimated BD 100,000 to 120,000 per annum by reducing paper work and going hi-tech", he said.
