Champassak focuses on developing tourism sites
(KPL) Champassak province is focusing on developing natural tourism sites in Khong district next month by using the US$1.8 million grant aid from Sub-Mekong Region Development Project.
Khong is a district of southernmost Champassak province with the abundant of different beautiful tourism sites including Khonephapheng waterfall, Somphamith and 29 rapids, and different small and big islands in this district.
Mr Khamphon Nouansengsy, Head of Provincial Tourism Service said that the Champassak province has a project for developing infrastructure of tourism sites so as to facilitate visitors.
The project is focusing on developing roads and other development work relating to the tourism works in Khon-Dondeth development village group into sustainable natural sites which will use grant aid from the Sub-Mekong Region Development Project.
