ECAHO rules applicable in the HH Faisal bin Hamad Arabian Horses Beauty Championship

Manama, Feb. 14 -- (BNA): The organising committee of the sixth Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Arabian Horses Beauty Championship held a meeting to follow up on the work being done to ensure the success of the upcoming competition. The gathering was chaired by organising committee head Dr.Khalid Ahmed Hassan. They confirmed the dates of the event, which will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 17 and 18, at the Military Sports Association Field in Al Raffah, starting from 3.30pm. The event will be open and consisting of several categories of Arabian purebred horses registered at the World Arabian Horse Organisation (WAHO) and accordance with the provisions of the laws of the European Conference of Arab Horse Organisations (ECAHO), including veterinary requirements. The organising committee looked at the mechanism to select the top two placers for horses (winner and runner-up) of all the categories, from the qualifying Fillies and mares, foals and stallions championships (gold, silver, bronze) in addition to the most beautiful head championship for male and female categories. There will be a split for classes with more than 16 entries, with the youngest entry being selected first in the first section and the older entries being entered in the second section class. It has been confirmed that the way of selection and evaluation of a horse is through five criteria. There will be three judges and a maximum of 20 points to be given to the horse from each judge for each standard, based on the gender, the head, the neck, the body and movement. The final result will be calculated by the sum of the average scores of all the judges, with a maximum of 100 points. This event will be followed by the standards and regulations of the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO). The organizing committee also identified the championship categories as follows: Class 1: yearling Fillies (1/10/2013-30/09/2014)Class 2: 2 years old Fillies (01/10/2012-30/09/2013); Class 3: 3 years old Fillies (01/10/2011-30/09/2012); Class 4: Yearling Colts; Class 5: 2 years old Colts; Class 6: 3 years old Colts; Class 7: 4-6 years old Mares (01/10/2008-30/09/2011); Class 8: 7-8 years old Mares (01/10/2006-30/09/2008); Class 9: 9 years old and above Mares (born before 30/09/2006); Class 10: 4-6 years old Stallions; Class 11: 7-8 years old Stallions; Class 12: 9 years old and above Stallions.
