EU condemns bomb blasts in Bahrain

Brussels, Dec. 10 -- (BNA): The European Union (EU) today strongly condemned the bomb blasts that occurred on Monday evening and Tuesday morning in the villages of Damistan and Karzakan in Bahrain, resulting in the death of a policeman and of a Bahraini citizen. In a reaction to the bomb blasts, Catherine Ray, spokesperson for EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, said "we offer our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. These dramatic events underlines the need to urgently seek a solution to the current difficulties in Bahrain through constructive and peaceful dialogue." She noted that the newly elected Parliament will have an opportunity to advance the current reform process and to work towards a swift resumption of national dialogue."
