Representative Speaker returns back to Bahrain

Manama, Jun 8 (BNA) – Parliament Speaker, Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani, and the accompanying parliament delegation today returned to the country following conducting a successful visit to Ankara and Istanbul at the invitation of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Parliament Speaker stated that the visit came in the context of reinforcing bilateral friendship and cooperation relations. The parliamentary delegation held talks with Grand National Assembly Speaker, Jameel Chechek, members of Bahraini-Turkish Friendship Committee and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Turkish leaderships expressed full support for Bahrain's security, stability and prosperity, and keenness to raise the level of cooperation in economic, political and trade fields, as well as the level of trade between the two countries and signing the protocol of the avoidance of double taxation. Al-Dhahrani has invited the Turkish side to visit Bahrain to complete the signing of bilateral agreements between the two councils.
