BNA, "Kazinform" sign cooperation agreement

Astana: April 14 – (BNA): A bilateral memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) and the International Media Agency in the Republic of Kazakhstan aka"Kazinform". The agreement expresses the mutual desire of both sides on cooperation in the field of media articles, information and news service exchange. The agreement was signed by BNA’s Acting Director-General Mohannad Al-Noaimi and "Kazinform"’s Director-General Mr. Dauren Diyarov on the sidelines of the historic official visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the friendly Republic of Kazakhstan and as part of the Economic Forum organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce aimed to boost the bilateral relations in all fields, including the media field. The agreement which is not the first of its type signed by BNA with regional or international news agencies aims to boost comprehensive bilateral cooperation especially in the field of exchanging media and news articles. The two agencies agreed to organize media training courses with the aim of learning/teaching best practices to develop professional skills, the daily exchanging of news stories and information in English regarding activities and events from both countries and cooperation under the regional and international organizations and associations in which both countries are members. Mohannad Sulaiman Al-Noaimi said that this memorandum is one of numerous memoranda and agreements signed with regional and international news agencies which reflects the trust of international news agencies vested on BNA which choose to coordinate with BNA. BNA has plans to cooperate with counterpart news agencies in order to increase its reach and to coordinate with international news agencies in the field of exchanging news and information. BNA had signed several memoranda of cooperation with the Indian, Spanish, Italian and Russian news agencies. Also, BNA last year BNA signed several memoranda of cooperation with Arab news agencies as well as the anticipated signing of similar agreements with Japanese, Chinese and Korean news agencies next month.
