Gold medal awarded to Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia

(KPL) A gold medal, the highest medal of the country, was awarded to the visiting Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia in recognition of his great efforts and contribution to strengthen the relation of friendship and co-operation between Laos and Cambodia.
The presentation ceremony of the goal medal was held yesterday at the Presidential Palace ( Hor Kham) during the courtesy visit to President Choummaly Sayasone of the Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and his delegation.
At the reception, President Choummaly and Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen highly valued the development of the traditional relations of friendship between Laos and Cambodia. President Choummaly also expressed congratulations to Samdech Hun Sen for his elected as the new Prime Minister of Cambodia and to the achievements on the social-economic development gained by Cambodian government and people in the past few years.
President Choummaly also expressed pleasure and satisfaction with a results of the working session between the head of the two governments which the sides has signed a number of co-operation agreements including the agreement on investment promotion and protection. The two sides also pledged to continue to further their close co-operation in order to realise the signed agreements and to support each other in the framework of bilateral and multilateral co-operations.
President Choummaly Sayasone also expressed his satisfaction over the co-operation of the two sides on border demarcation.
Samdech Hun Sen expressed pleasure and satisfaction with a warm hospitality given to him by President Choummaly Sayasone and praised the friendly relations and mutual assistance between the two states and people, which have been increasingly nurtured and developed.
He also informed President Choummaly Sayasone about his official visit to Laos to introduce himself as the new Prime Minister of Cambodia and to inform that the Cambodian government has allowed the Lao PDR to use the harbour of Cambodia for trade transportation.
