Jalili discusses issues of mutual interst with Lebanon president

Tehran, Nov 25, IRNA - Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili in a meeting with visiting Lebanese President Michel Suleiman discussed issues of mutual interest here Monday.

In the meeting, Jalili expressed pleasure with positive trend of
national unity in Lebanon and called it a victory on the Zionist enemy
and thwarting domestic plots.

He called Lebanon as a good pattern for resistance, and coexistence of
different religions and ethnic groups and added such a valuable
pattern should be turned to a model in the world.

Jalili also expressed Iran's readiness for cooperation and exchange of
experiences with Lebanon on different grounds.

President Suleiman appreciated Iran's insistence on supporting Lebanon
and called for continuation of the help and support for his country.

Visiting Lebanon president called Iran's role "Important and
constructive" in holding talks in Doha, which led to an end to the
plots in Lebanon, election of an agreed president and starting
national dialogue in the country.

Michel Suleiman underlined necessity of expansion of cooperation
between Tehran and Beirut in different fields and following up signed
agreements between the two countries.
