Korea needs to develop Khone Phapheng as new tourist destination

(KPL) The Republic of Korea company Dong Ah Reboru has eyed on exploiting benefit from developing the well-known waterfall Khone Phapheng in the southernmost province of Champassak as a new tourist site.
While paying a courtesy visit to Champassak Governor Mr. Sonesay Siphandone last week, Mr. Park Heung Sim, Representative of Dong Ah Reboru, said if the project was approved by the government of Laos, it would become a significant establishment for the socio-economic development in the province and the country as a whole.
The prospective project is believed to include the establishment of a 5-star hotel, casino, golf course, hospital, cultural centre, vocational training school and other facilities, which will cost 250 million US dollars totally.
If the development is realised there will be around 1-2 million people visiting Khone Phapheng.
The project is under the consideration of the government and if it is given the green light it will commence developing next year.
