Iran does not suspend nuclear program

Ankara, Nov 11, IRNA A senior Foreign Ministry official said on Tuesday that Iran will
never suspend national nuclear program.

Director General of Foreign Ministry Political and International
Studies Rasoul Moussavi said that it is a permanent stance that Iran
will not suspend nuclear program.

Moussavi is currently in Turkey to attend a meeting at Turkish
Institute for Asian Strategic Studies.

The day-long meeting is to be held on Wednesday in Istanbul.

Moussavi has recently said that Tehran would study a plan proposed by
the EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana if it would not include the
issue of suspension.

The proposal, known as the "freeze for freeze", was put forward by the
Group 5+1 last summer.

It required both sides to freeze their activities from any further
development without stopping them.

Tehran would accept the freeze for freeze offer if it did not include
suspension of uranium enrichment, Moussavi said.
