57 countries expected to take part in tourism investment seminar

So far some 454 foreign investors from 57 countries have expressed their readiness to attend the Seminar on Iran's Tourism Investment Opportunities, which will be held in Milad Tower's Conference Hall on November 8-9.

Announcing this, head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization for investment and projects affairs, Mehdi Jahangiri said that the investors are from countries such the US, England, Germany, France, India, Italy, Japan, Bulgaria, UAE, Kuwait, Indonesia and South Korea.

He added that some 20 high-ranking delegations headed by tourism ministers or their deputies as well as senior officials from World Tourism Organization will participate at the event.

Referring to the 2,000 projects requiring investment worth dlrs 50 billion, Jahangiri said that some 50 projects, for which a capital of dlrs 12 billion will be needed, are to be announced in a specific manner.

The event will be held in the forms of specialized workshops and meetings focusing on various topics including exemplary tourism sites, accommodation facilities, hotels and motels, natural sites, tourism villages, handicrafts markets.

More than 1,024 titles of books and booklets including identification cards of tourism projects will be distributed at the event.

Some 30 pavilions featuring the provinces' tourism sites will also be set up on the sidelines of the seminar./end
