Champassak to use Road No 14 A by 2011
(KPL) An agreement on improving road No 14 A was signed last Friday in Champassak province by local officials and two private companies.
The road, which is 25 Km long and 9 m wide, will be paved with asphalt with an investment of over US$ 20 million by the government. The improvement is expected to be over by 2011.
Nine bridges will be constructed along the road, which connects Houapek village, Phonthong district, and Phaphin village, Champassak district.
Signatories to the agreement were Dr. Poung Soukaloun, Director of Champassak Provincial Public Works and Transport Service, Mr. Oudone Keodouangdy, President of Duangdy Construction Company, and Mr. Home-one Kongminsay, Director General of No 20 Road and Bridge Construction State enterprise.
Governor of Champassak province Mr Sonesay Siphandone and relevant officials of concerned parties witnessed the signing.
