HH the Heir Apparent Arrives In Bahrain

Manama, December 24 (QNA) - HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrived in Manama Monday afternoon to participate in the two-day 33rd GCC Supreme Council Summit which will kick off later in the day. King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain led well-wishers to welcome HH the Heir apparent upon arrival at Al Sather Airbase airport. HH the Heir Apparent was also welcomed by Prime Minister Prince Khalifah bin Salman al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of Bahrain Defence Force Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. A number of ministers, GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Qatar's ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer Al-Thani were also on hand to greet HH the Heir Apparent. A mission of honour, led by Bahraini Minister of State for Telecommunications Affairs Sheikh Fawaz Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, was set up to accompany HH Sheikh Tamim. In a statement upon arrival, HH the Heir Apparent said he was delighted to convey the greetings of HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the Qatari people to his brother King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain and GCC leaders participating in the summit. He expressed the hope that the summit would culminate in boosting the GCC's drive towards achieving GCC peoples aspirations for a better tomorrow. Concluding, HH the Heir Apparent prayed the Almighty Allah to guide us to achieve the good of our Arab and Islamic nations.(QNA)
