Al Nasr Meets Former Portuguese President

Lisbon, December 22 (QNA) - HE Nasser bin Abdul-Aziz Al Nasr, the UN High Representative-elect for the Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), has met here with Mr. Jorge Sampaio, former Portuguese President and UNAOC High Representative, during his official visit to Portugal. Al Nasr also held meetings ahead of the UNAOC leadership's transfer to him in 2013 and discussed as well the preparations for the 5th UNAOC Global Forum, which will be held in Vienna, Austria, February 27-28, 2013. During the visit, the Qatari official also met with Portugal's Prime Minister, Pedro Passos Coelho, and State Secretary for EU Affairs, Luis Miguel Morais Leitao, who expressed hope that the State of Qatar would succeed to achieve the goals of UNAOC. The meeting was attended by Qatar's Ambassador to the Republic of Portugal, HE Adel Ali Al Khal Fakhroo, and the accompanying delegation. (QNA)
