China Offers 72-Hour Visa-Free Stay for Qatari as of January 1

Doha, December 22 (QNA) - The Chinese authorities have granted a visa-free stay of up to 72 hours for the Qatari citizens while in transit via Beijing Capital Airport (PEK) as of the 1st of January, 2013, An official source at the Consular Affairs Department at Qatar's Foreign Ministry stated. In order to get the transit visa, the Qatari citizens must present their tickets to another country and register their statements in one of the security centers during the first day of their arrival. Their stay and departure will be limited to the capital city of Beijing, the source told Qatar News Agency. (QNA)
