National Day Special Occasion To Commemorate Founder, HE Minister Of State Says

Doha, December 18 (QNA) - HE Minister of State Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassem al-Thani said Tuesday that Qatar's National day is a special occasion for everyone to commemorate the late Sheikh Mohammed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, founder of the State of Qatar. In a statement to reporters on the National Day, HE Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser said this day we commemorate the founder of the State of Qatar as we work to protect our own land that the founder gave much effort to build and citizens sacrificed as well to preserve. He further said, homeland means a lot to all. We should work to keep it well as the founder sought and as HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani are working to keep the country's flag fluttering high. He expressed pleasure over the National Parade held on this occasion and thanked all who contributed to making it successful, extending special thanks to HE the Minister of State for Internal Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, HE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah, and HE the Chairman of Qatar National Day Organizing Committee Salah Ghanem Al Ali.
