Qatar National Day A Source of Pride, HE Education Minister Says

Doha, December 17 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) Saad bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud said that the Qatar National Day was a source of pride to all Qataris, and celebrated this year at a time where the country is witnessing a social and economic progress in all fields. HE the Minister of Education said that education institutions celebrated Qatar National Day to highlight the Qatari identity and history, and added that celebrating the Qatar National Day was also a show of appreciation to the contributions of men and women who helped build the nation. HE the Secretary-General of SEC said that the celebration of the national day becomes the reaping of all the achievements made by the State of Qatar in all fields, due to the wise policies of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Al Mahmoud said that the Supreme Education Council was very keen on participating in the Qatar National Day celebrations with the goal of solidifying the Qatari identity in the children. His Excellency stressed on the importance of instilling in the children a sense of belonging to their country, in order to grow up a creative and distinguished members of the community. HE the Minister of Education said that investing in people is Qatar's most valuable asset, adding that its education was the means to develop that asset. He said that the educational strategy was fully inspired by Qatar's National Vision 2030. (QNA)
