Katara Launches New Look Website
Doha, December 17 (QNA) - On the occasion of the Qatar's National Day Celebration, the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) launched, on Monday the new figure of its Website, wishing to increase the magnitude of communication with the public, and to provide more services to them in line with the requirements posed by the volume of events organized at the Cultural Village.
Commenting on the launch, Katara General Manager Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti said "the launch of the new identity of the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) website comes within the commitment to develop our services presented to our audience, and to support and strengthen communication mechanisms between the Cultural Village and the large audience in Qatar, the Arab world and worldwide".
Dr. Sulaiti mentioned that Katara website will presents all activities, events and services in its comprehensive and varied concept, based on the supreme objectives of the Cultural Village (Katara), which seeks to preserve the tangible and intangible heritage of the State of Qatar, and in order to encourage creative work and intellectual reasoning with various aspirations, and establish an open culture which accepts others, and believe in dialogue.
He added: "to serve all these principles and goals we launched the new look website, we aim to clearly announce the Foundation's programs and events, lectures and seminars, and poetry, modernist fine art exhibitions, ending with heritage festivals and major events that highlight the national identity and its Islamic and Arabic origins and roots, and its belonging to the world, which openly displays other cultures to all people of the region", referring to the launch of several cultural projects emerging from the authenticity of the Arab region heritage and the Islamic culture.
Dr. Sulaiti emphasized that the aspirations of the Cultural Village (Katara) are prodigious, and its ambition will reflect our love for our country and our Arab and Islamic identity, and he added: ".. this is what drives us to make every possible effort to make the Cultural Village (Katara) website one of our distinctive effective, comprehensive and influential activities, locally and regionally, as we at the same time look forward to the global dimension, we believe in the overall concept of the humanity culture which our culture consists an integral part of it".
