Qatar Charity Awarded Burkina Faso's National Order of Merit

Doha, December 12 (QNA) - Burkina Faso's President Blaise Compaore has awarded Qatar Charity the medal of Knight of the National Order of Merit, in a ceremony held at the presidential palace to mark the country's 52nd independence anniversary. The honor was given in recognition of Qatar Charity's development efforts over the past few years in several areas, including education, health, income-generating projects and social projects, in addition to water and sanitation, at a total value of about QR17 million, a press release by the Doha-based association said. Jassim bin Abdullah Al Jassim, the Advisor to Qatar Charity CEO, represented the association in the ceremony along with a range of civil personalities and organizations working in the humanitarian field on both domestic and foreign levels.
